LET GO AND LET GOD

If you are a person of faith, ‘let go and let God’, is something you have heard often! Sometimes this saying can be misunderstood. It doesn’t mean that you just do nothing about your situation or life. It’s recognizing that God has given us all the tools we need to survive and thrive yet there is only so much we can control. Whatever your problems, situations or worries may be you can deal with them in the ways that you know of at this time in your life and then release them, meaning let go and let God. There is so much freedom that comes from releasing your needs, wants, concerns to a higher power, having too much control in one’s life will keep you from truly living life, keep you from relaxing and letting loose. The way I see it is God doesn’t have this huge ego and it must be massaged with us giving up all our power to him, I see it as the opposite. God is loving, compassionate and wants us to truly enjoy all the gifts he has given us while on Earth that’s why we give the rest to him because how can we enjoy life’s gifts if we worry and try and control all situations? He wants you to use your talents, work hard and be your best with the balance of knowing there is only so much you can do and that’s when you release it to him, so you can go off and live…. Really live. Be joyful and enthusiastic about your day, know you have done all you can do about your particular situation and leave the rest to God, Let go and let God really does make this A Wonderful Life!
