This past week my niece and nephew were visiting from Lake Havasu City, Arizona…Kendra is 8 and Kaleb is 5, you know still the fun ages where they want to do stuff with you!! Of course we had to make our way to a Pumpkin Farm, and not just any Pumpkin Farm..Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm. Okay so I had no idea about this place, another reason kids come in handy you find out about all the fun places!! My husband has a cousin who teaches at the high school in Wheatland who of course is familiar with this farm and let my sister in law Julie know about it as somewhere to visit while the kids were in town, as you may have figured out the Farm is in Wheatland. So we get out there and WOW, I mean really what a FABULOUS place! There are hay rides, a giant corn maze, train rides, a play area and petting zoo, Coyote Mountain Mine that has a 30 and 50 foot slide, and of course a huge Pumpkin Patch were you take a hay ride over and then walk around the field finding your perfect pumpkin or pumpkins…. we are talking serious fun for the kiddos!!

The farm belongs to the Bishop family who started the Pumpkin Farm in 1973, not only a great family legacy but they started something that brings joy to so many families year after year. My niece and nephew literally could have spent 10 hours out there!! Thanks to the father that got all of us out of the corn maze or we would still be there!!! Oh my lord be sure to show up hungry there is plenty of food to choose from and lots of goodies, Apple Hill eat your heart out from what I hear Mrs. B’s pies and cakes are in high demand, my sister in law Julie had there Chocolate Pumpkin Cake and was in heaven!!! Did I mention the Gift shop….HOLY COW! I am actually going back this week just to shop in the Gift Shop, when I walked in the place I quickly realized I would need waaaaay more time to spend looking around and the kids don’t have that kind of patience!! Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations galore plus all kinds of great Country style décor for your home, I am so excited to go back! This Farm brought so much joy to my niece and nephew I highly recommend you taking your little ones out there, the Bishop Pumpkin Farm has helped this to be A Wonderful Life!
