August 1st, 2010 POOP This might be short but sweet! Okay so recently my family from Arizona (sister in law Julie, niece Kendra and nephew Kaleb) were in town visiting all the family. They live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona which is as hot as hell, okay the majority of that state is scorching hot so of course naturally they have practically lived in pools, their favorite thing to do is swim. So even though our heat is nothing to them they see a pool and that’s it they are in heaven! One day while they had been out and about seeing all the family, eating and playing with cousins they of course also ended up going swimming. Well my nephew Kaleb is 6 so he knows he is not allowed to use the pool as a restroom, but he had to go really bad, he had to poop. Like it was starting to come out, my niece Kendra screams “Kaleb no,no don’t do it there” my sister in law looks up and sees Kaleb standing outside the pool with his pants down, squatting down and pooping off the ledge of the pool into the dirt behind it!!!! The hugest poop came out of this kid, yes my sister in law picked it up…lol, lol, lol…. when I was told this I was laughing so hard! Yes as adults you teach children they need you to of course, but there is some shit no pun intended, we end up learning, being reminded of I should say from them. Like going with the flow, we too often get so fixated on schedules and things HAVE to be a certain way that we get so wound up which leads us to be so uptight, that we don’t take a moment to laugh at a moment like the poop story. Yes Kaleb knows he is not allowed to go to the bathroom in the pool or squat down outside of a pool to poop this was a onetime thing, he has been in pools since he was like 1 he knows the rules, this was a oopsie it’s coming I can’t go in the pool so my little mind at 6 thinks this is a way better alternative…..a moment for us adults to go with the flow remind us that life gives us little moments to chuckle at and that in life shit happens!!! Wonderful! Drop me a line to let me know your thoughts on my "It's a Wonderful Life" column... |
