THE PROCESS

In this world of bigger and faster, the process is getting lost. We want everything to be supersized from our meals to our homes to our egos.  And we want it all fast. We don’t enjoy the process anymore of achieving what we want we just want it now. We have let our impatience take the living out of life and have forgotten it all is a process. ‘The Process’ is everything. Think about it our life process starts in the womb, every little detail that takes place is a process to get you ready to enter the world. Once we are here we go thru the process of infant, toddler, child, pre-teen, teenager to adult. Each time frame had it’s process mentally and physically and looking back you know there was no rushing that, so why do we try so hard as adults to rush thru the process that we know it will take? We have forgotten how to slow down and trust that what we are doing will get us where we need to be and the road there may be painful or a struggle but that is what makes us grow and become stronger than we were. If you try and skip the process you are missing all the lessons. You are getting to your destination with no more wisdom than when you started. Some people skip out on therapy and decide to medicate themselves instead and why well because therapy is a long journey, an uncomfortable journey that brings some pain along with it and lots of self reflection. However when you overcome each hurdle you are stronger, wiser and happier than when you started. Some give up on their dreams and instead do a job that they are miserable at because well to follow your dreams takes time, patience, perseverance and lots of struggle. Again we live in a world that thinks getting things faster is better. How many of us have started diets because well the diet promised fast results! Whether it’s therapy, careers, dreams, weight loss, friendships and or marriages, it’s all a process to get the desired results you want, you skip the process you skip the lessons. Think about each time that you accomplished something it was the moments in between known as, the process, that you learned the most and brought about the most change. If you are moving so fast and only thinking of the end results you will miss the most important part, the process, which helps this to be A Wonderful Life!!
