WINNING THE RIGHT WAY

I know a lot of competitive people including myself and healthy competition is a good thing! Along the way in life you learn the right or wrong way to win. Winning at ANY cost in my opinion is the wrong way. There are many ways to win at any cost that are not so good, lying, cheating, stealing, playing dirty tricks to name a few. Yes winning feels good and losing feels crappy, however a lot can be learned about yourself when you do lose and one of those things is looking back at the loss and realizing while you were trying to win you didn’t stoop to lows to do so. The same can be said with winning, knowing that you won fair and square without the dirty tricks is a true win, the kind of win that makes you feel good about yourself and helps to build more self esteem. When you win by cheating you are not fooling anyone including yourself, your soul knows what you did so instead of lifting  yourself up to being a better person you are actually destroying your inner self. For example some people believe they have to stab co workers in the back to get the promotion and they do so by taking credit for work they didn’t do, starting false rumors or stealing clients. Truly successful people have such great belief in their abilities and themselves they don’t have to go to such lows. What they do to win the promotion is do the work better, schmooze better, work harder, find ways to better craft their skills,  so they prepare, prepare, prepare so when opportunity comes knocking they are ahead of the game and when opportunity doesn’t come knocking they go and look for the opportunities. People that win at any cost are just plain bullies, the only skill they have crafted is bullying their way to the top, while folks who win fair and square are the people you want to work for and with. The people who you admire and respect and most importantly if you are the one is winning right you have nurtured yourself with positive energy and that helps make this A Wonderful Life!!
